Fresh Farms coming to Rugby June 9

Georgia peaches and other items will be available for Rugby residents who ordered them Sunday.

A truck from Fresh Farms will be at the Northern Lights Inn from 5:30 to 6 p.m. tomorrow for residents who ordered peaches and maple syrup from Fruit can also be purchased at the truck.

They will also be in Rugby from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 24, and from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.

On June 24, Washington dark cherries will be available in addition to peaches and maple syrup.

Peaches can be ordered in quarter and half-bushel boxes.

On July 10, beef, bacon and chicken breasts will be available.

Based out of Sioux Falls, S.D., Fresh Farms offers bulk, farm-direct produce and ships directly to 48 states year-round. Online ordering is encouraged and delivery dates can also be found on their website.

Mobile food pantry coming to Rugby June 18

Trucks supplying fresh vegetables, bakery items and boxed goods will be in Rugby and Towner on June 18 as part of the Great Plains Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry program. Anyone in need of food assistance in each town or neighboring communities is welcome to attend and receive food at no cost.

The Mobile Food Pantry will stop in the parking lot of NAPA and Envision in Rugby from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The location at 2819 Highway 2 is one-quarter mile west of Cenex on north side of highway.

The Mobile Food Pantry will stop in Towner across from St. Cecilia's Catholic Church at 503 1st Street Southwest from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m.
