Panther baseball rebounds after region loss

The Rugby Panthers suffered a surprising defeat in the first round of regional play last Thursday when they fell to the Dunseith Dragons at Rugby's Johnson Field, but they kept their playoff hopes alive.

The Panthers lost to the Dragons, 6-4. The Panthers came back Monday, winning 12-7 over the Bottineau Braves.

On Tuesday, the Panthers won 5-3 against the Harvey-Wells County Hornets and 18-5 against the Northern Lights Comets.

The Panthers faced North Star in the next round, which was postponed until Thursday due to rain.

Due to press deadlines, Thursday's action will be in next week's Tribune.
