Joseph Robert Fevold

Joseph Robert Fevold, Rugby died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home in Rugby. Joseph was born on July 7, 1948 in Stanley to Melvin Oliver and Rachael Lucille Rose Snyder Fevold. The family lived in north central North Dakota and he went to school in the area. Joseph also lived in Rolla and Ypsilanti, North Dakota as he grew up. He entered the United States Army in September 1966 and served in Viet Nam. He was discharged with the rank of Specialist 4 in September 1968. Having been wounded in service of his country he was awarded the Purple Heart in addition to the National Defense Service medal, Viet Nam Campaign medal, United States Viet Nam Service medal, and the Meritorious Unit Citation with 4 oak leaf clusters. Upon his return to the United States he lived in Fargo and Tucson, Arizona for a time until he moved to Rugby in 1992. He was employed at the Hub while living in Rug-

He enjoyed going fishing and going to the area casinos.

He leaves a daughter, Sheri Fevold and her daughter in Tucson, Arizona. He also leaves a sister, Jeanette Teigen - Austin, Minnesota and two brothers, John - Athole, Idaho and James in Grand Forks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Deadmond, and JoAnn Deshane.

Funeral services will be held the Niewoehner Funeral Home in Rugby on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. followed by burial at Berwick Lutheran Cemetery. Rev.

Michael Pretzer will officiate and Alecia Pretzer and Barbara Lee will provide music. The casket bearers will be members of the Clarence Larson Post #23 American Le-

gion, who will also provide military honors in addition to the North Dakota Funeral Honors Detail.
