The Main Street Boutique in Rugby held a grand opening Thursday, November 30. The boutique is owned by Ashley Berg and features stylish clothing and is combined with unique wine sales.

"I wanted something unique and fun of my own," said Berg. "This was my dream and with the help of Rob St Michael who sold me the building, and Merchants Bank, I made it happen."

Many long hours and planning have gone into the store. The building has been completely renovated. Large windows will be added to the north side of the building soon, she said. There are plans to decorate the south internal wall with old barn doors.

Main Street Boutique, owned by Ashley Berg, in Rugby offers women’s styles, including select designers, and over 50 varieties of select wines.

Merchandise in the store will cater to women in sizes from 2 to 22, with a few in each size and merchandise updated regularly to keep new items in stock. Accessories are also available such as scarves.

"Checking in frequently and seeing our new items will give Rugby new options continually," Berg said.

Wines of over 50 varieties will be available at most times, and the store opened with 42 varieties. Different price wines are available, both reds and whites, and including champagne.

People gathered Thursday night and sales were brisk. "They have some really nice sweaters and sweet designer jeans in my size 4," a teenager commented.
