LaVerne Helen Heidlebaugh Moe

Jul. 20, 1931- Sept. 12, 2017

LaVerne Helen Heidlebaugh Moe, 86, died at the Good Samaritan Society Home in Mohall on September 12, 2017. She was born July 20, 1931 in Rugby and grew up on a farm in the area. Her parents were Kenneth and Helen (Corneliuson) Heidlebaugh. She graduated from Rugby High School and attended Minot Business College.

She married Leonard Lester Moe in Rugby on February 4, 1951. They moved to Tacoma, Washington where they lived for a few years. After returning to North Dakota with a stay in Jamestown, they settled in Fessenden where they lived for many years. While there LaVerne worked for the Farmers Home Administration until she retired. She later moved to Bottineau until the summer of 2017 when she entered the Society Home in Mohall. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting, and gardening.

LaVerne is survived by her daughter, Kathy and her husband Ted Kittleson Bottineau. She also leaves 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition she leaves three brothers, Duane Heidlebaugh Knox, Lt. Col. (USAF Ret) Gary Heidlebaugh Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Curtis Heidlebaugh - Colville, Washington.

Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 10, 2006 and a son, Brad Moe.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Niewoehner Funeral Home in Rugby. Rev. Michael Pretzer will officiate and Dianne Montonye will be the accompanist. The casketbearers will be Maynard and Trevon Hall, Austin, Bryan, Chrissy, and Jeremy Kittleson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of the service.

Mrs. Moe will be buried next to her parents at Persilla Watts Cemetery in Rugby.
