Thompson, Lemieux join team at Heart of America Medical Center

Jenna (Dosch) Thompson, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), has joined the team of providers at Heart of America Johnson Clinic in Rugby in July. Thompson, a 2003 Rugby High School graduate received her nursing degree from Minot State University. She started her career at Trinity Health in Minot and worked in the Orthopedics/Neurology department for 3 years then in Post Anesthesia Care Unit for 1 year before relocating back to Rugby.

She was hired as a Registered Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing in the Heart of America Care Center where she cared for residents for nearly 4 years. She continued her education and graduated from The University of North Dakota in 2017 with her Masters of Science in Nursing.

"Working in the Care Center motivated me to continue my education so I could care for patients on a higher level. I look forward to getting to know my patients and helping them live healthier lives." States Thompson.

Thompson lives in Rugby with her husband and three young children ages eight, six and three. She enjoys spending time outside and with her family and friends.

Thompson will care for patients of all ages at Heart of America Johnson Clinic.

Nicole (Hager) Lemieux, Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), has begun seeing patients at Heart of America Johnson Clinic in Rugby in July. Lemieux, a 2006 Rugby High School graduate, received her Clinical Laboratory Science degree, from the University of North Dakota, was certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and licensed by the state of North Dakota as a Medical Technologist.

She started her career at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND where she worked for over five years. She returned to UND and graduated in 2017 from the Physician Assistant Studies program.

"When I worked in the laboratory, I wasn't able to get as much hands-on patient care as I would have liked. I returned to school knowing I wanted to have the opportunity to treat a full spectrum of patients." Adds Lemieux.

Lemieux and her husband have an infant daughter and will be making Rugby their home this fall.
