Sara Bourne has been accepted and committed to Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

After visiting campus last week, Bourne decided that Harvard was absolutely the school for her to continue her education.

"It was a really, really great experience," she said. "It solidified that I wanted to go [there]. Being around so many extraordinary people was truly enriching."

Bourne plans to major in Economics and minor in Philosophy during her undergraduate years and then attend law school. However, she wants to take classes in other subject matters, as well.

"I'm excited for the classes, especially. I think they will be very challenging and push me in a way I haven't been pushed before, but I think it will be a great experience," Bourne said.

Bourne has already made a group of friends on the Class of 2021 Facebook page and was able to meet some of them during her visit to campus, which she feels will help with her transition into campus life.

Although Bourne will be moving on from Rugby, she wants to thank everyone who has helped her get to this point. She wants younger students to know that they, too, can reach their goals.

"Look at every opportunity as one that you can learn and grow from," she said. "Whether academic or not, there is a lot you can gain [in Rugby]. Even though it's a smaller community, there's still a lot of potential to grow and there are a lot of opportunities here."
