Drivers on certain roads in the area will face road restrictions.
According to a press release from the N.D. Department of Transportation, load restrictions were added on all highways south and including U.S. Highway 2 from Rugby west to the Montana border; Highway 3 from the junction of Highway 2 to the junction of Highway 200; Highway 19 from the junction of Highway 3 to the Pierce-McHenry County line; and Highway 52 from Minot to Fessenden.
Highway 2 and 52 restrictions are by legal weight of no more than 20,000 pounds for single axle, 34,000 pounds for tandem axle or a gross weight of 105,500 pounds. On Highway 3 vehicles are restricted to no more than 14,000 pounds for single axle and 28,000 pounds for tandem axle. On Highway 19 vehicles are restricted to 12,000 pounds for single axle and 24,000 for tandem axle, or a gross weight of no more than 80,000 pounds.
