As with all big projects, one person can't do it all. In the case of Rugby's annual Relay For Life, it takes far more than one person.
For the month of June, the Chamber selected the entire board of Rugby's Relay For Life for the Volunteer of the Month Award.
The board is made of event chair Mandy Kuhnhenn, Shelley Block, LaRae Senechal, Skye Woodman, Kim Williams, SyAnn Graber, Stacy Jaeger, Tami Ness, Kari Hill and Sharon Peterson.

Putting together the Relay is no small job. It takes a lot of time and effort from the community and the board which starts in January and sometimes earlier.
"We start in January and have meetings with the teams and the committees," Kuhnhenn said. "Lots of calls and emails to people and the school to touch base on the whole thing."
Even though the board is on a break right now, they're always looking ahead to the future.
"We're just trying to come up with ideas to to make it bigger and better every year," said Hill, who was a part of the group who planned the entertainment for the Relay, "And they [the Chamber of Commerce] do a really nice job of recognizing all the people who put this together, but the biggest reward is just to see the community come out and actively participate in the event."
