Area women bowling for the Rugby Greenhouse participated in the state tourney in Grand Forks April 24 and 25. As a team they placed fourth in the Women's Division III. Team members are Dorothy Keyes, Lynn Heinrich and Paula Genetzky of Towner; Gywene Owens, Leeds, and Maggie Degenstein, Rugby.
The team got a 775 scratch three games in a row. The odds against this are extremely high. Keyes and Degenstein placed third in doubles, and Degenstein also placed 12th in singles and fourth in all events.
Vivian Smith also participated in the singles and doubles events.
