Area summer sports

March 31, 2017 - Tribune Online
Some of you have probably notice the snow is starting to melt, which means that even though spring is on its way it's not too early to start thinking about summer.

With summer comes certain activities: trapshooting, stock car races, rodeos, baseball, sand volleyball, softball—and we want to know about them.

We would love to know results of sand volleyball tournaments, Babe Ruth baseball games, stock car races, trapshooting matches and the like. But we need your help in doing so. If you have results, please feel free to email them to us so we can include them in our scoreboard or even write about them.

While we're at it, we'd also like to know about other non-sporting events in the area that you want to see in our paper. We know of the standards—the Pierce County Fair, the Village Fair—but we also want to know about huge events/activities that have never been seen before.

As always, for story ideas please feel free to call the Tribune office at 776-5252, or stop in during our regular office hours. You can also e-mail our reporters, Bryce Berginski at and/or Carissa Mavec at

Remember, this is Your County, Your Paper, and we can't do this without you.
